For December, we have lots of festive activities that the children will be able to take part in. In the classrooms, the children will be learning about the different holiday and celebrations around the world. If your family celebrates any special holiday, please let your teachers know so they can share interesting facts with their class.

Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services To make our holiday season more memorable, we will be taking part, as we do every year, in giving gifts to the children that are less fortunate. These children are those that have been abused, neglected, and deprived of having a happy holiday. In our classes we read the book the Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, it’s a great book that teaches children how the tree stands alone and provides food, shelter, and love to the boy throughout his whole life. We also discussed the importance of giving and how it makes us feel. Early December Little Acorn will put up a tree with the names of these children and their gift wishes. If you do wish to participate, please pick a tag and return your gift or gift card, wrapped by Friday December 14th. Can you make sure you also sign your name on the list next to the tree, so we can track the progress of the gift tags. Thank you, families, for support in making a child’s wish come!
Please remember we are closed for winter break December 24th through January 1st
Classes will resume Wednesday, January 2nd
Happy Holidays from all of us here at Little Acorn!!
